Who we are
Move to Cyprus operates this website. Our registered address is International House, 61 Moseley Street, Manchester M2 3HZ. You can reach us on 0330 320 0370 or at hello@movetocyprus.co.uk.
What we collect and why
When you request a quotation, ask for a callback or contact us, we collect the details you give us — typically your name, telephone number, email address, the addresses you are moving between, your approximate moving date and a description of what you need shipped.
We use this information for one purpose: to prepare and discuss a quotation for your move, and to carry out the work if you instruct us. Our lawful basis is the performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you have chosen to make.
We also record basic technical information about how you reached the site — the page you landed on, the search term or campaign that referred you, and general location derived from your IP address. This is used to understand which of our pages are useful and to make sure you are shown relevant contact details.
Who we share it with
To move your effects to Cyprus we must share the necessary details with our destination agent in Cyprus, who arranges import, customs clearance and delivery on the island. We share only what the job requires.
We also use service providers for email delivery, website hosting and analytics. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not pass your details to other removal companies or to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for up to two years so that we can pick up a conversation if you come back to us — moves are often planned a long way ahead. Records relating to work we have actually carried out are kept for six years to meet accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data sooner and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Write to us at the address above or email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
