Air Freight & Baggage

Air Freight and Excess Baggage to Cyprus

Boxes and suitcases delivered in days rather than weeks, for essentials and urgent items.

Sea freight is the economical way to move a household, but it is not the way to move the things you need in your first fortnight. Air freight covers the gap: a few boxes of clothes, kitchen essentials, work equipment, a child's belongings, or the items you decided at the last minute you could not do without. It is also the right answer for students, for people relocating with a suitcase rather than a house, and for anything genuinely urgent.

When air freight is the right choice

Send by air when the volume is small, the timing is tight, or the value-to-weight ratio is high. A dozen boxes arriving within days is often worth far more than the same boxes arriving with the container six weeks later. Many clients send a small air consignment to cover the interim and let everything else travel by sea.

Excess baggage without the airline penalty

Airline excess baggage charges are punitive and calculated to discourage you. Sending the same cases as unaccompanied air freight is usually markedly cheaper, and you travel unencumbered. We collect from your UK address, handle the documentation and deliver in Cyprus.

What cannot go by air

Aviation rules prohibit a longer list of items than sea freight does, including aerosols, flammable liquids, paints, certain batteries and pressurised containers. We will tell you what has to come out before your consignment is booked rather than after it has been refused.
