Professional Packing

Professional Export Packing

Export-grade materials, numbered inventories and purpose-built crates for anything precious.

Packing for a sea voyage bears little resemblance to packing for a move across town. A carton that would survive an afternoon in a removal van has to survive weeks of vibration, humidity swings and handling by people who have never met you. We pack to export standard as a matter of course, and we will happily explain why the box costs what it does.

Choosing your level of packing

A full packing service means our crews pack everything, which is the fastest, safest and only fully insurable option. Fragile-only packing has us deal with glass, china, artwork and electronics while you handle books, linen and clothing. Self-packing is the cheapest and we will supply the materials, but goods you pack yourself cannot be insured against damage because nobody can verify how they were packed.

Crating for the things that cannot be replaced

Mirrors, glass table tops, marble, artwork, musical instruments and anything genuinely irreplaceable are measured and crated in purpose-built timber cases rather than trusted to cardboard. Crating adds cost and volume, so we recommend it selectively — but for a painting or a piano it is not really optional.

The inventory is a customs document

As your effects are packed, each carton and item is numbered and described, and you assign values. That inventory is what Cypriot customs assess, what your insurance is based on, and what you check against on delivery. It is worth an hour of your time to get the valuations right, and we will help you do it.
