Tala sits high enough above Paphos that the summer is noticeably more bearable, which is precisely why so many long-term residents choose it. The village has a proper square, a monastery nearby, and views down over the coast that justify the drive. It is a fifteen-minute descent into Paphos for shopping, and a very quiet place to spend a winter evening.

The approach climbs steadily and the village lanes are narrow. Large vehicles are impractical for the final leg and loads are usually transferred. Turning space at individual properties is often the limiting factor.
